The Techproject s.r.l. on behalf of the Province of Barletta, Andria and Trani, she was responsible for the executive design of the restoration and restoration work of the I.P.S.I.A.A.M. “Sergio Cosmai” Institute, located in via Ghandi in the municipality of Bisceglie (BT).
The school complex subject of the intervention consists of two factory blocks with a structure in c.a. The first body, named “A”, with a horseshoe plan with a central patio, is intended for educational activities. It has a height of 6.75 meters above ground and consists of 2 levels, with access from the rear of the school complex. The second body, called “B”, with a rectangular plan, consists of a single plane above ground, placed behind the central structure. The interventions planned in the project can be summarized as follows:
A. replacing the current windows and doors with new thermal break windows in PVC and double-glazed low-emission double glazing, and shielding the transparent elements on the south, east and west sides of the building by installing special Venetian blinds on the inside of the new windows and doors .
B. improving the functionality and safety of the gym through the replacement of the current PVC flooring, the replacement of damaged lamps, the replacement of the fan coils and the covering of the perimeter walls with Polymat type slabs, for a height of 2 meters;
C. replacement of the existing elevator system;
D. verification of the state of preservation of the plaster of the facades and staircases, removal of the deteriorated plaster, re-alkaline protective treatment of reinforcement bars and restoration of the concrete cover with fiber-reinforced mortar,
E. painting the facades with silicate water-based paint
F. replacement of the current base with Trani stone slabs;
G. covering the access stairs to the complex with Trani stone slabs;
H. rebuilding of the perimeter sidewalk by means of a screed made of Rck20 concrete, 8 cm thick, with electro-welded mesh, apricena stone curb 25×15 cm and paving in cement stone blocks sp. 2.5 cm.
