Port of Livorno: 2.5 million from the Region to carry out the railway crossing

The Tuscany Region has advanced 2.5 million euros to allow the construction of the so-called railway bypass of the port of Livorno, and asks the Ministry of Infrastructure to allocate a similar sum to finance the design of the connection between the Interporto and the Pisa-Vada line -Collesalvetti. This was stated by the president Enrico Rossi in the meeting with technicians and representatives of the railways, the harbor authorities and the port authority, in addition to the local authorities.
Rossi, a note reads, will ask Rete ferrovia to quickly call a meeting to choose the best route and draw up a new timetable, with the aim of starting work in June. The governor then expressed a positive assessment on the entry of private individuals into Port 2000, and stated that the Region would also favor the construction of the quay for Grandi Mulini through the provision to the Port Authority, if necessary, of a single manager of the method. For the Darsena Europa, it is stated, the progress has been made on the progress of the works and on the construction of the breakwater, issues that will be subject to further verification.
